Year 6

You Are Amazing Love Hearts Rainbow Badge : Kool Badges

Summer term 2024!

It has been lovely to welcome the children back to school after the spring break. We are really looking forward to the term ahead as we have lots of exciting learning activities planned.

This term, our history topics are 'Behind Enemy Lines' and 'It's Greek to Me', where we will be exploring the main causes of WW2, the countries and people involved and how it has shaped the world we know today. We will visit Greece via Goggle Expedition and explore the ancient Greeks and their ways of life. We will make pots and mosaics based on our own research. In science, our topics are 'electricity' and 'evolution'.  We will be indoors and outside for our PE lessons which will include: hockey, tennis, netball, rounders and athletics.  As part of our guided reading, we will be accompanying Olive and Cliff as they are evacuated during WW2. In June, most of year 6 will be venturing to Bude in Cornwall for our action-packed residential (those who stay at school will be treated to a fun-filled week at school). It's a busy term!
